East German MDI Officers School Badge

This small East German (DDR) badge represents the Ministry of the Interior (Mdl). It was issued to Mdl officers for completion of their training, at a certified university. The center features the Emblem of the DDR. Notably the enamel background differs based on the issuing school. The yellow lime backing represents the University of the German People's Police "Karl Liebknecht", in Berlin. Badges issued by civilian universities feature a white backing instead.

This is a interesting pin for any military collection, we only have a few.
