East German Police Patch

This patch was the Abschnitts-Bevollmachtigter (section plenipotentiary). It was part of the East German VolksPolizei(Peoples Police), was  responsible for the police tasks in municipalities, districts and on sections of the Reichsbahn. Additional duties were forwarding and recording of criminal complaints.These officers usually held the rank of Lieutenant.

This patch appears to be made from a felt wool like material, and in good condition.
